Clutch Cargo: The Complete Series – (DVD)

Perhaps most famous to modern viewers as that weird cartoon Tarintino uses sometimes, where the lips are human lips, Clutch Cargo is a divisive cartoon. Many find the Syncro-Vox technique, by which a live actor’s lips are superimposed on a cartoon character to be Terrifying, or at least unsettling. Others find the show’s treatment of indigenous people and people of color to be appalling. In spite of these complaints, the show also has it’s loyal fans. It served as the template for Johnny Quest, which in turn served as the template for countless other children’s programming, and eventually for The Venutre Bros.
