Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow – (Blu-ray)

It’s a pioneering film, the first shot almost entirely on a digital backlot. It’s wonderful in many ways, as an homage to the serials of the 1930s and 1940s it works really well. As a movie from 2004, it works a little less well, but it is still a remarkable film.
