SNAPPER: THE MAN-EATING TURTLE MOVIE THAT NEVER GOT MADE tells the untold story of SNAPPER – an unfinished early horror film from the early 1990s about a bloodthirsty turtle that wreaks havoc on a lakeside community in New England. Through unearthed behind-the-scenes set footage, rare photos, newly digitized 16mm film reels of daily footage, and never-before-told stories from the filmmakers, this short documentary explores an idea that almost became a reality.
From the filmmakers of the cult classic horror films, ATTACK OF THE KILLER REFRIGERATOR and THE HOOK OF WOODLAND HEIGHTS, SNAPPER: THE MAN-EATING TURTLE MOVIE THAT NEVER GOT MADE is just as much about a killer turtle as it is about a friendship that outlived it. The documentary also provides a window into the local Massachusetts special FX makeup, mask making, and horror communities of the 1980s and 1990s. It’s a shell of a good time!
This is the third and final pressing, limited to 50 copies, pressed on Classic Black Videocassettes and housed in small black clamshell cases.
